Having merged on 1st January 1982 the professional practice of Nihal Sri Ameresekere & Co., Chartered Accountants, with Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co., Chartered Accountants, the professional practice of Nihal Sri Ameresekere & Co., Chartered Accountants was transferred on 1st July 1982 to Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co., Chartered Accountants, with Nihal Sri Ameresekere ceasing to provide such professional services for him and to focus on the Management Consultancy Practice.

The Management Consultancy Practice commenced in August 1974, as Nihal Sri Ameresekere, Management Consultants, and later was incorporated in June 1978, as Comindtax Management Service Ltd., and re-named in December 2007, as Consultants 21 Ltd.
